How We Test

The Reality of Our Testing Process

Most local SEO advice is recycled theory. We refuse to publish theory. When a Google Business Profile drops out of the map pack, you need proven recovery tactics. You need operational reality. We test every strategy, software platform, and citation network on live client assets before we write a single word about them.

We test it. We break it. We publish the truth.

Our readers are business owners and agency operators who depend on foot traffic. You do not have time for generic summaries. We built this methodology to separate the actual ranking signals from the industry noise.

How We Select Our Targets

We look for the exact friction points HVAC contractors, plumbers, and local clinics face daily. We ignore the echo chamber of generic SEO forums. If a new grid tracking tool claims higher resolution, we buy a license. If a citation aggregator promises faster indexing, we run a dummy campaign.

We only evaluate tools and methods that directly impact proximity signals, relevance, and prominence. We skip the vanity metrics. If a software suite focuses on global keyword volume instead of local search intent, it does not make our list.

Our Evaluation Criteria

Our evaluation criteria strip away marketing fluff. We measure raw map pack movement. We track the expansion of the ranking radius across a 5×5 mile grid. We audit the exact time it takes for a tool to sync NAP consistency across 50 primary directories.

We demand high-resolution data from every tool we test. We look at review velocity tracking, Q&A optimization features, and photo upload APIs. If a strategy does not increase direct phone calls or driving direction requests within a measurable timeframe, we label it a failure.

The Time Investment

Local SEO requires patience. We do not write overnight reviews. Any new GBP optimization tactic undergoes a strict 90-day testing sprint. We apply the method to a staging business profile, monitor the initial algorithmic dance, and wait for the dust to settle.

Software platforms receive 30 days of daily operational use. We log in, run reports, contact customer support, and document every bug. We want to know exactly how a platform handles a sudden API disconnect or a duplicate listing error.

Shortcuts lead to suspended profiles.

What We Refuse to Review

We draw a hard line on what we decline to cover. We do not review CTR manipulation bots. We reject fake review generation software. We ignore automated article spinners disguised as local content creators.

If a tactic violates Google’s core guidelines and risks a hard suspension, we will not recommend it. Your business license is worth more than a temporary ranking spike. We focus strictly on defensible, long-term local dominance.

The Evaluator

Duke Isaac Genon leads our testing division. Duke is a Local SEO Expert with years of hands-on experience recovering suspended profiles and dominating local search grids. He does not rely on aggregated summaries.

He builds the citation networks, optimizes the Q&A sections, and analyzes the review velocity himself. His bias is toward what actually drives foot traffic. When you read a recommendation on this site, you are reading the direct result of his operational testing.

How We Keep Content Accurate

Google updates its local algorithm constantly. Proximity filters tighten. Category relevance shifts. We revisit our published reviews and strategy guides every time a major core update rolls out.

If a tool we previously recommended drops a key feature or hikes its pricing unfairly, we update the page immediately. We downgrade ratings when software stops working. You get the current operational standard, not outdated history.
